Healing without Believing

Little miracles

The other day, I went to tutor a little girl in English. Her mother asked me to skip the tutoring session in order to give her Reiki to try and assist terrible pains that the little girl was experiencing. The girl had not slept the previous night, burst into tears every time she needed to move her leg, and had to be carried everywhere.

I was more than happy to oblige. Sitting with the girl for about 30 minutes, I gave her Reiki specifically directed to assist her leg. After finishing our session, I went on to teach one of her siblings. Within five minutes, the little girl came over to the window of the porch where we were sitting, knocked on it with a huge smile on her face, then walked outside to show me she was ok. Ten minutes later, she and her friend left the house to play.

It was a beautiful scene. Though pleased with the outcome, I am used to it as a Reiki practitioner, healing is what we do, Reiki is a spectacular and extremely underrated method to assist everything from depression to trauma to childbirth to cancer.

It was not until a few days later that I understood how important this event was. I had gone to a different family to tutor their daughter. In the middle of the lesson, the young woman burst out, "The family told us what you did with "little girl". The mother was amazed, she told us that it just wasn't normal, that things like this just don't happen! She was up and walking and running and playing, and the pain just subsided and disappeared!"

I admit, that certainly stroked my ego, but when it comes down to it, I am only a vessel for the Ki (energy) to flow through me. I can pretend I healed "little girl" myself, but then I'd be lying. I let the Reiki energy flow through me to assist others. The Reiki does the real work.

So, what exactly is Reiki?

Here, I should start with what Reiki is NOT. Reiki is not a belief system. Honestly, one does not even need to believe in Reiki for it to work, though believing opens the gates for allowing, and allowing does help to speed up the healing process. There is no religion attached to Reiki and therefore can be used as a treatment method for individuals of all faiths. No dogma attached, no rules to follow, nada, zip, zilch.

Reiki, translated, is "Universal Energy". Think of it as "The Force" in Star Wars. It is the energy that is a part of every single being, whether a human, animal, plant, stone, water, planet, space (to learn more about this energy, read up on fundamentals of Quantum Physics). Energy connects everything to everything else and can be focused towards the healing process, amongst a gazillion other things.

The Reiki practitioner has undergone specific attunements to give them the "access" to Reiki energy. Anybody, I repeat, ANYBODY can learn and practice Reiki. This is not meant to be a "power" held by the few over the many; it is available to all that choose to become attuned.

Heal just about anything!

This universal healing energy can assist just about, if not all ailments and diseases. In my own experiences, I have worked with animals in severe pain, seeing them relax before my very eyes, individuals with terminal illnesses, who were finally able to get respite from their pain through Reiki healing, I have seen mourners begin to accept their new reality, helped my own son with his colic and saved myself from many unfun symptoms of pregnancy through utilizing Reiki.

Reiki is an "alternative" healing method and is often used alongside traditional medicine in hospitals due to its high level of effectiveness.

Never have I met the person who has not been impacted in some manner following a Reiki session, never have I met the person (or animal) that Reiki has been unable to assist.

I am an eyewitness to the incredible healing powers of Reiki.

Reiki is an incredible healing method and is highly recommended for all of you who are looking for better emotional and physical health.

This amazing healing method is literally at your fingertips. Learn more about Reiki and Reiki healing services offered here.
